DIGITAL AGRICULTURE PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATES

This fully online, interdisciplinary program includes classes in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Computer Science, and Crop Sciences departments at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

To earn the certificate, students must successfully complete 12 credit hours of courses, all of which can be transferred to the master’s degree program.

General Certification requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Complete at least 12 credit hours. See individual certificate requirements below.
    • Take courses for academic credit and earn a minimum average GPA of
    • Students must apply and be accepted to the non-degree program before registering for classes that are part of the certificate
    • Coursework cannot be used to qualify for multiple certificates but can count towards the M.Eng in Digital Ag program.

CERTIFICATE TITLES:

This certificate does not require the CS prerequisite like the M.Eng or other certificates. If a student opts to transfer into the M.Eng in Digital Agriculture program they will need to meet the CS prerequisite before being admitted to the M.Eng program.

This certificate allows students some customization if the other certificates do not meet their needs. Student will need to select 12 hours of coursework from the approved list. Students must take at least 4hrs CS classes from that list and at least 4hrs of classes from either ABE or CPSC on that list. The remaining hours are up to the student to select courses that best fit their needs.

 

Certificates #2-6 require that students have the CS prerequisite to be eligible.
